FAQs

Everything you need to know about Nourki handcrafted lamps, their manufacture and your order.

1. Where are Nourki lamps manufactured?

All our lamps are handmade in our workshop in Auvergne, France.

Each piece is individually crafted by Daniil Danzig, craftsman and founder of Nourki, from carefully selected natural wood.

No mass production, each lampshade is unique, designed to last and transmit an authentic light.

2. What does “made to order” mean?

Our lamps are not mass-produced, nor are they stored in warehouses.

When you place an order, we manufacture the lamp specifically for you.

This allows us to reduce waste, guarantee quality and customize the production rate according to demand.

Each order thus becomes a collaboration between you and the craftsman.

3. How long will it take to receive my lamp?

Our handcrafted lamps require an average manufacturing time of 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the model and the time of year.

Once ready, your lamp is shipped from Auvergne with tracking and parcel number.

You will receive an email as soon as your Nourki lamp leaves the workshop.

4. How do I maintain my Nourki lamp?

Nourki lamps are designed to last.
Here are some maintenance tips:

  • Gently clean the wood with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

  • Avoid chemical or abrasive products.

  • Use a soft LED bulb to preserve the wood's color and extend the lamp's lifespan.

  • Use the lamp indoors only.

These simple precautions ensure that your handmade wooden lamp remains beautiful and bright for many years.

5. What does the name “Nourki” mean?

Nour = Light in Arabic.
ki = Plural diminutive suffix in Russian

NOURKI = Lots of little lights!

6. Can I return my lamp if I change my mind?

As our lamps are made to order, we cannot accept returns due to a change of mind.

However, if your lamp arrives damaged or defective, we will replace or repair it free of charge.

You can consult our Return Policy for more information.

7. Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination.

For an accurate quote, please contact us at contact@nourki.com before placing your order.

8. Which bulb should I use with my Nourki lamp?

We recommend using a low-energy LED bulb with warm light (2700–3000K) to preserve the energy balance and visual softness of the lamp.

Avoid halogen or fluorescent bulbs which alter the natural color of the wood.

9. What if I need help with assembly?

Each lamp comes with a video tutorial that guides you through each step. Click here to see examples.

You can also contact us directly - we will be happy to guide you.

Assembling your lamp is part of the Nourki experience: a gesture of reconnecting with oneself, with matter and with light.
